Pretty good Greek food! The spanakopita was mushy and not crispy and flaky, but the falafel were really good as a starter. The spicy chicken pita my husband had was good, the moussaka my family tried was good, and my kebab was pretty good, too! The tiramisu was frozen, but my kids still liked it. The walnut baklava was also pretty decent. Skip the espresso and just get the coffee. Their bathrooms need serious attention and the downstairs smelled like sewage, so that was why I took a star off. The servers were friendly and did as good as they could only being the two servers/bartenders in the whole place. (Honestly, you would expect it to be busier on a Friday night in that location, and I wonder why it was so dead?)
The Happy Greek is one of the beat parts of living in the Short North. Their food is always fresh, the portions are substantial, and it's consistently a good idea when we just don't want to cook. The menu is huge, and everything I've had was exceptional! The Happy Greek is great for takeout. The Happy Greek is great for dining in with your family. The Happy Greek is great for wolfing down at the bar after a few beers. It's even great for stuffing into your face/dropping on the sidewalk while you walk home after more than a few beers. It's always there for you, and it will make you feel better. I'll say Happy Greek is my Favorite Greek Spot in Columbus and acknowledge that Columbus has lots of great Greek Food, I've seen so many Reddit posts trying to figure out which is best, and there's never consensus. I love so many people are so loyal/adamant about their spots, I also think they're wrong. The Happy Greek is the best, and I'll not hear otherwise.
Stopped in for lunch. The food was great and so was the service. Gyro was outstanding.
Delicious food and the outside patio was really cute and a great place to meet friends!
I visited with a large group in town for Origins Game Fair. Our organizer said this was a great restaurant that he returned to every year, and having been there, I see why. The building is beautiful, the service great, and the food about the best Greek food I have ever had. I ordered the Dolmades. The grape leaves were stuffed with ground lamb and beef, and wow, the seasoning was great. I especially loved the lemon sauce over the top. It came with a salad on the side, and every component was super fresh, including the dressing. I would happily eat here again.
What an experience! Our server was so cool, he was working so hard and the restaurant was busy, cheer up!! The food was good, I couldn't share anything with my husband! He got baby lamp chops and he said it was the best so far and he was so happy that he trust our server! Pair with his red wine, I thought he was drunk haha! He looked too happier than when I cooked him food!
I'm not sure how to rate this so let me start with the positive....food was very good. The tiger shrimp appetizer was excellent, highly recommend. My gyro was good with plenty of meat (I couldn't even eat it all). My side Greek salad only came with one olive though . Hubby got the spicy gyro and really liked it. Karen, our server was excellent. Very attentive and ready to help with any questions. My complaints...only one olive, citrus cooler drink was less than average tasting, they didn't remove the items requested from one of our meals. Hubby had to order a miller light because they said the Michelob ultra was out, but Karen went the extra mile and found some in the cooler So they are getting a 4 star but I would prefer to give a 3.5 However, I would return to give them another try because the food was really good.
You're going to want to try the Happy Greek. Full stop. We happened in to the place by accident, and we're so pleasantly surprised by the food here, we can't give it anything other than a five star review. You'll pay the short north price, but you get a hearty portion of food, warm pita, their tahini sauce in short order. This place has won awards for it's Greek food since 2016, and it's clear to taste why. A foodies paradise, five stars.
